The Sailor Studio had the privilege of collaborating with two renowned brands, Vivo and Samsung, in the production of an innovative Fake Out-of-home. Our goal was to create a captivating visual experience, integrating real images with computer graphics to showcase the new Samsung Flip 5 smartphones. The chosen backdrop included urban icons such as MASP and Minhocão in São Paulo, along with the stunning skyline of Rio de Janeiro.

We faced the challenge of developing a piece that would leave people in doubt about its authenticity. We aimed to create an illusion so convincing that viewers would question whether the scenery was real or a digital creation.

To overcome this challenge, we brought together our talented multidisciplinary team at Sailor Studio. We captured high-quality images, HDRI 360 images with the real scene's lighting to be integrated later into 3D, ensuring they were aesthetically appealing and suitable for post-production integration. We leveraged our expertise in computer graphics and live-action production to achieve an impressive result.

The project was a resounding success, becoming one of the most talked-about and shared Fake Out-of-home campaigns. The high audience engagement reflects the effectiveness of our approach, leaving many viewers intrigued about how we managed to create this unique visual experience.

Behind The Scenes

To ensure a high-quality final result, our post-production team relies on the precise work of the recording and production team. They are responsible for capturing the scenes in a way that allows us to successfully apply CGI.

Once we have the raw material in hand, we move on to the essential stages of post-production: color grading, which adjusts the colors and atmosphere of the scenes; tracking, which maintains the alignment of moving elements; animation, which adds dynamic elements; and look development, which defines the desired visual style for the project.
